Record Your Screen
To start recording, click the record button at
the top of the toolbar. This opens the Camtasia recorder, which by default, is
set to capture everything that happens on your screen.
Customize the recording settings
# 1 Choose to record full screen, or select the
arrow and select "location to record".
# 2 Select some items to record and screen.
Options include web camera, microphone audio and program audio. Choose a down
arrow or duplicate arrows next to each other to select a specific microphone or
webcam.
# 3 Click Start Recording to start.
Finish Recording (Windows)
When you have finished recording, click the
Camtasia recorder icon in the task bar, and then the pause button. If you need
to re-record, select uninstall restart.
Quick Tip: Press “F10” to stop recording, or
“F9” to pause and / or restart recording.
Finish Recording (Mac)
To complete the recording, click the Camtasia
icon in the Apple menu bar, then click "Stop Recording." Or, if you
need to re-record, select "Start Over."
Quick Tip: Press “CMD + OPTION + 2” to stop
recording, or “CMD + SHIFT + 2” to pause / restart recording.
Clear Errors
We usually record more at the beginning and end
of the recording. To delete more content, drag the end of the “to.” Clip. This
is called cutting. If you are too short, drag the clip back to restore your
video.
It’s good to note that any editing you do on
the timeline, will not affect your original recording in the media bin.
Cut Errors
Drag the red or green handle on the playhead to
select a location to delete, then click the cut button to delete a section. A
sewn line appears, indicating where the cut was made.
If you select and want to retrieve a play title
together, double-click the play title.
Add titles, annotations, results and
more
Apply quality polish and professionalism to
your videos with eye-catching themes, annotations, effects and more. Click and
drag them from the tool panel to the timeline or sail.
When you're ready to post or share your video,
click the Export button in the top right corner of the editor, and select your
destination.
